“This book will introduce you to the fabulous story of the Dragon of Calais, its birth, its adventures, and its destiny.” From the belfry rooftops to deep caves, François Poitout’s paintings follow the city’s guardian dragon, its companion the Traveling Monitor Lizard from Australia, and Lilith, the Guardian of Hell.

“Art probably won’t save the world, but I think it can remind us why we love it.” — François Poitout
