Projects
Site-specific works, designed for a particular place and theme: shop floors, visuals for public buildings, installations in hospitals.
“Le Binocle” optician’s shop
Measurements and photos of the shop — 3D model of the shop in SketchUp Pro — Artistic research evoking the earth seen from the sky and the four elements, with dynamic graphic effects and colours from the colour wheel — 3D scenography: gradual distribution of shapes, colours and values; photo editing in InDesign for each tile; placement of each tile in the 3D model — Digital tools to simulate the finished floor — Proposal refined according to feedback — On-site presence for the layout and laying of the tiles.
Custom floors for businesses

Discuss your project“Tourcoing-les-bains” 2008
Commissioned by architect Jean-Michel Ruols and the city of Tourcoing: twelve visuals revealing the town’s rich aquatic history, displayed in the corridor leading to the cafeteria, the stands and the future Olympic pool. Created with the help of the media library, they mix archive photographs with my own paintings, confronting the original architecture (a fire station) with that of the new aquatic centre. The originals, 122 × 70 cm, hang in the entrance and offices; enlarged to 200 × 100 cm and framed in raw steel, they line an 18-metre corridor. The visuals were also turned into a collector’s box set of twelve cards and a calendar.
Installation at Valenciennes Hospital 2018
Dr Antoine Lemaire, head of the Oncology & Medical Specialties division and of the mobile supportive and palliative care team at Valenciennes Hospital, initiated with his team a human and cultural project across the hospital’s departments. The aim was to humanise the premises, adding touches of colour and a share of dreams to help patients and staff bear sometimes very difficult conditions. Dr Lemaire chose François Poitout for the dreamlike, positive and even revitalising qualities of his paintings and, above all, of his travel sketchbooks. Given strict hygiene constraints, we chose very high-definition prints on 5 mm black-edged PVC, stiffened by two aluminium battens so the panels clip easily to the wall, standing 2.5 cm off it for a clean, durable, sober and contemporary presentation that is easy to clean. Large formats up to 2.20 × 1.10 m reproduce paintings in meeting rooms; very long, narrow 2.20 × 0.30 m formats suit the corridors. Reactions have been so positive that the commission grew beyond what was first planned!
